A dream came true! At the Kew Herbarium in London during my Churchill Fellowship in 2018, I accessed the botanical collections of Labillardiere, some Baudin specimens, and some of my father Dr Nigel Wace’s collections from Gough Island and Tristan da Cunha. I even found a plant named after my father: Agrostis wacii.
Dr Nigel Wace was very familiar with these quiet halls and cupboards at Kew. It was special indeed to find a part of him there.
